I'm thankful that Drew took it upon himself to till our garden! Thanks pal! :)

I'm also thankful that I have an opportunity to get to know other people in my community in such a collaborative and positive setting. I'm also - prematurely - thankful for the gardening tips I'm sure I'll receive from my fellow gardeners...after all, this is my first foray and I don't know yet if I have a green thumb!

Since I'm sharing a plot with friends, I'm thankful for the chance for us to spend quality time together.

I am thankful to the city of Des Moines for allowing this project to take place. I am thankful there are interested people who want to make this garden work. I am most thankful that I have 2 wonderful sons, one of whom is helping to head this project. I am thankful that my granddaughter is able to go to the garden plots and spend time there learning about gardening and community effort and team spirit. I am also thankful for the delicious produce that Drew shared with us which traveled all the way from Des Moines to Iowa City. I love you Drew, mom
