My wife and I are getting ready to plant our garden on a section of land we own that is at least 2 acres (and we were going to use a spot of about 10 feet by 10 feet - the rest would be empty). We're already starting the plants inside and will have a lot of extra food from the plants we are growing (simply because we have so much space, so we're going to grow a lot!). We know that there are a lot of people that would love to plant their own garden, but can't because they don't have the room or live in an apartment. So our idea is simply to get a group of people together that will all team up to plant and work on a single garden meaning we'd have a lot more expertise, more variety of plants, less work per person (because each person would only have to come once a week or as often as they'd like instead of tending the garden every day!) We're already running a new water line so that we can have hose access to the garden and we have a farmer lined up to till for us for free. If there are people interseted, let me know, otherwise I'll just stick with the small garden with my wife and I....this might just be a dumb idea, but I figured I offer it out there in case there were people that wanted to garden but can't for whatever reason!
