Downtown Community Garden - Des Moines Iowa

Growing Together @ the corner of E 6th and Scott Street.

Hi gang,
my friends at the Franklin st Community gardens are looking for a way to connect and chat with each other online. They don't have anyone as talented as Drew, so they feel disconnected from their gardening community.
Any chance we could open up this forum to include them? We all face similar problems, pests and thievery namely.
Just a thought, I'm acting as an emissary, they'll understand if it's not something y'all want.

I agree with Christine. it makes more sence for you guys to have your own web sight then you have more control over what you want to do with it.
If someone from the Franklin garden would be willing to sit down with me for an hour I can show them how to get started using their new site...

Thanks very much for asking Jennie !

Also, earlier this summer I had sent an email to the group asking if they would come join us at a few of our weekly picnic's etc. Please let them know that we will look forward to meeting more of our "cousins" next summer and through the years :)
oh & I decided to make one for the Sherman Hill neighborhood while I was at it...

I'll volunteer to be that person. This week is kinda hectic for me, but perhaps this weekend? What would work for you?
You are awesome btw! I appreciate the help.

It seems there are a couple of us that have plots in both gardens, I'll definitely spread the word about getting the groups together. Maybe this winter we could get a conference room at a library and do a seed swap. :-)
I would be willing to do this ... :)
