Arbor Day

Don't forget Arbor Day is also just around the corner! The Arbor Day Foundation is giving away 10 trees, a tree care book, a year subscription to their mag, and a flowering shrub just for $10.00!! Especially in Iowa trees are very much needed to help control erosion and well, let's face it, to make the place look less flat! Haha!

Those Forsythias bushes they offer with a $25 or more order sure are pretty. :) Are we able to buy a membership and donate the trees to a group here in Des Moines? I am planning on planting the Lilac tree because everyone seems to love Lilacs here and they already have peonies, I don't think the Lilac is too much of a stretch. I was thinking about donating the trees to the Franklin Library so they could replant them. My husband told me he did this one year and he took the trees and randomly planted them in some New Jersey Parks. :); ▶ Reply to This
